Welcome to my newest attempt at a creative outlet

July 31, 2012 § 1 Comment

As an aspiring journalist I am constantly looking for somewhere to dump my thoughts, because I think most things can be described in words.

I think it ties back to the journal entries I was assigned daily in elementary school that instructed me to simply write about my life.

Unfortunately, my two years in high school have not provided me with a substantial literary creative outlet. While literary analysis is a fantastic way to express yourself academically, it doesn’t provide personal expression that I desire as someone who has always enjoyed writing.

To get back to the point, every now and then I attempt to create a blog, and then I get stuck. I’ve turned to tumblr, to blogger, and to my own personal journal, but I never seem to stick to it. My emails are registered so many times with every blogging website that I had trouble finding one to use when creating this blog.

I think the problem is that I can never decide on a theme. What do I write about? What captures the public’s eye? This time around, I am taking a different approach. I’ve realized that as I am an every changing person, restraining myself to a theme isn’t going to cut it. I am writing for me, and my hope that is in some way I can be somewhat relate-able.  So, welcome to the inside of my head, there are a ton of thoughts in here and hopefully I’ll be able to articulate them.

I really wish I had been introduced to blogging in high school, it would have helped me process a lot of feelings and emotions! I think you are very smart for trying to find a creative outlet, and I hope it helps you in your journey of self discovery! Looking forward to reading it! 🙂
